Hi all,
I have just bought a set of LCB's and the Lambda sensor port is on the centre pipe.
So it reads off cylinders 2 and 3. Would I be better off changing it so that it sits were the pipes from 1 and 4 join so that it reads the outer cylinders?
The only reason I am asking is that a standard A series will run leaner on the outer cylinders
Cheers Pete

if it's an original Rover sensor I think they need to be fairly close to the head to run at the right temperature. I imagine it's satisfactory if it's off a reputable Mini parts supplier. Someone with more experience of injection A's than me will be along

I thought they were a heated lambda, hence the four wires.

When my lambda sensor needed replacing on my s-works MPI, the guys at ML Motorsport blocked up the originally mounting hole on the y-piece and drilled/refitted it on the side instead. Doesn't necessarily affect the emissions, but means I won't have to take everything apart again if it needs replacing in the future.
