Bought some paint. Its orange like the ford mexico's but a lighter shade i think.

It looked nice on the swatch and when it was mixed, so im happy so far. Will see what it goes on the car like.

Im on a budget and i have a orange/black contrast in mind, so didnt want a metallic or owt flash.

I did a X-Pack Ford Capri in Signal Amber (think custard yellow) many years ago. Just love those 70's Ford colours. Should look good on a mini.

What type of paint did you get? (2 pack etc) as I am getting nearer to doing mine and can't decide which way to go.

Had the choice of paint in this colour

- 2pack
- base and clear

I went for the 2pack. Though depending on the finish we get, i might laquer it aswell. We have done this on several paint jobs now and it provides a extra shine and depth.

I am pleased with the colour,opened the tin to show my mum and its what i wanted.

Well i still arent sure what orange i want, so i guess it will be a case of getting into the paint shop and buying something i see and like.

I did this last time and came out with a nice metallic dark blue colour, when i wanted a purple lol

Just got my car back this week from the paint shop, its lamborghini arancio borealis metallic with pearl (orange!)



Think the paint code is LAM07

I was told it was lambourghini orange so it may be the very same paint lol

I bought this on ebay 5l celly with thinners for £75. Looks more amber on the car.

that from ebay? Seen similar listed on ebay, didnt like the shade of orange and you can never tell from a pic either.
