Hey everyone, I'm getting my roof re-painted next week of my MPI. It came with the 2 piece plastic trim, but I see this as just another place to gather water, so I want to see your pics of roofs without the plastic 1, to help me decide whether I want rid of it, and 2 to show the coachworks where the work is being done the level of perfection I'm after.

looks fine if the paint work has been done good and you let them know how you want it before they do it

On my onld MPI, I had BRG gutters on the outside, then on the inside of the gutter rail had white. So it met on the tip of the gutter.

I always prefer minis without gutter trim, they weren't originally designed to have it, I'd likely fit it if it was on a totally original car, but otherwise I remove it.

As for painting 2 colours, it really couldn't be simpler, I've never really thought about it :S

To be a bit different I have my roof and guttering, inside and out sprayed in black,.. main body of the car is red,.. so in a way still looks like the gutter trim is there, I like it looks good. I have however just had a huge debate with my spray guy (said mini is in middle of restoration) and he would rather spray it as in most of the other pictures as it's easier,.. but i've argued and after explaining exactly what i want i will be getting my own way.

This is the clearest picture i have...
