You can take a DIY installed alarm to any certified alarm installer and they will check the system over and sign/stamp your certificate, costs about £25.

Try and go to a place that sells/installs the type of alarm you have.

yer they need to inspect all the wiring, needs to be installed following the professional guide lines too, like mounting point, earth points, slices in the right place etc..

Which alarm is it you have?

yeah looks like a nightmare!!! putting in a new loom in with it so should be ok, did you do yours yourself?
Whats the deal with the window closure? do you have to have the button pressed all the time the motors are going up, or is it timed?

The one i have, not sure what model it is etc, but it has central locking, leccy windows, alarm, imobiliser....

You press the button to lock the doors as usual, then it puts the drivers window up first, followed by the passenger window... it does this so that any standard battery wouldnt be drained by drawing too much power at the same time i presume.

Either way, you press the lock button as normal, and walk away, safe in the knowledge that your doors locked instantly and the windows are up within a matter of seconds.
