could someone let me know the size i need for the nut, so i can pick one up from halfords tomorrow.

Top tip aswell, when you come to take your old one off, apart from making sure everythings pointing straight ahead, loosen the nut to the top of the shaft then wiggle your wheel to to loosen it. By keeping the nut on you'll stop smacking yourself in the face with the steering wheel when it come loose unexpectedly:)

yep i have also full on smacked my self in the face.
mountney wheels are a nightmare to get off.
and it is 1 n 5/16
or 34mm depends which you see first.
it is also the same size socket for the tower bolts on the subframe
