They KNOW Council Tax is unlawful and are simply robbing those who haven’t woken up to the facts yet to the tune of £140,000,000,000 per annum (thats 140 BILLION of our money!)
Now, knowing this money is used to pay for our healthcare, roads, lights, police, fireservice, binmen, tips, roads, etc. I wonder if the person now not paying would like to withdraw his usage of all of those services? As he's said there's no contract, so if he uses them, or goes into a public park, surely he's trespassing?

surely he's trespassing?
Only if he causes damage. But I get you point. Very interesting stuff guys!

Take away the billions of pounds and then I bet he'll complain there's no streetlights, he never sees the police, his house burnt down and nobody came to put the fire out!?
Seems like a twit to me, is all...

I only said it as it seems this guy thinks he has the right to use everything, but just doesn't want to pay for it all.

Now I've read it properly, you're bang on.

surly he would still have some right to those services you mention because of the other taxes that are paid (assuming one works). In my area council tax pays for things like schools & playgrounds (no kids!?), residential care, leisure centres (which you also have to pay for again with membership/access fees anyway) police and fire services (when they decide to not strike).

I'll let him drive a car on the road, as long as he pays his roadtax, and doesn't park in any free parking spaces, or touch the pavement on his way from his house to his car.
I'll also let him get the bus into town, but then he'll have to climb on the buildings to get from shop to shop, as he hasn't paid his due for the pavements?
I'm being a bit OTT I accept, but if you don't pay council tax then they will have to get the money from somewhere else.

I'd assume you limiting the strike action to the firefighters? just saying as Police can't strike by law

Council tax also pays for pavements, parks and street lighting.

I'm not entirely agreeing with the OP, but there is a fair chuck of Council Tax taken for services you'd never see or use, I just think it's a bit unfair subsidising other people.

want to know where your money is wasted?
think £150,000 + cheif execs
think £60,000 chauffeur cars
think airplane trips to london and meetings
think hotel stop overs
think 7 tier management (Chief execs, group directors, directors, service managar, area manager, managers, inspectors/foreman, normal bloke)
Then theres good attendance rewards each quater (LCD TV, HD camcorder, Ipod) and things like that.
And thats not scratching the surface!
