I'm assuming you mean the rubber couplings which attach to the diff output shafts & driveshaft yokes & are secured with U-bolts. I've never heard of 1300 couplings being bigger than Mini. The Austin / Morris 1800 had bigger ones. Other things you will notice, the engine front plate will be different due to the 1300 having an engine mount each side of the timing case, but this will still fit in a Mini but you will need the engine mounting bracket for the Mini which fits to the gearcase under the radiator. The remote gearchange fits differently on the 1300, having a metalastic sandwich plate between the remote unit & the diff casing. The differential ratio will be different & if your 1275 is running 10" wheels it could end up rather low geared.

Thanks for that. The rubber couplings/gaiters are longer, fluted and tapering in size down to the drive-shaft. There is an engine mount attached to the top of the cylinder head, next to the thermostat housing. The rocker box cover has a blue 'A+' sticker on it and the engine number is 12H 899 AA 109619. Otherwise, to me it looks the same as the mini. My Mini is 1975(~Clubman) with 12" wheels.
