after buying my mini in near complete project condition.

problems include some minor body work, some electrical faults. however the major problem is the gearbox/diff. the diff has failed (the pin probably)
is it possible that the diff has collapsed into the gearbox?? if it has how much would it be to repair/replace.

with the diff would it be best to upgrade (eg. x pin diff or something similar)?

i'm also experiencing some problems with the indicators and hazards - they dont work at all - i'm thinking a fuse ??

any help, tips and advice would be greatly appreciated

i have also found that the 2nd fan (the one not on the radiator) runs even without the engine on could this be a fault or is it suposed to do that ??

if i flick switches it sometimes goes off but then comes back on again

any ideas ?

The diff failure could possibly have damaged parts of the gearbox itself. It needs to be stripped down to determine the extent of the damage.
'Guessworks' a TMF member on here does reconditioned / rebuilt gearboxes. It will be worth sending him a PM explaining whats happened. I'm sure he will be able to give you some good advice.
