they were advertised on ebay as olive green. amusing we are talking about my headlight rims.

as for the alloys they are. cosmic 12s i really hate them now and i wouldn't mind some deepish alloys they have brand new tyres never been used just as my car doesn't start yet and i bet you haven't seen them anywhere? i think they are rare

yes cosmics are very rare!! i think 10's are more desirable (Someone correct me if im wrong) but 12's are still rare.

well aside the *yellow human water* poor job i did of painting them, was going to get them powder coated. there up for swaps please if anyone likes them give me a shout

but they must have rims that are deep dished and wide enough to look aright under miglia arches

no progress at all. i have big plans but this bloody snow is not helping. i had hoped the workshop would be ready by now but its to late. we will have to see what damage the snow has done...

thank you PhilipGCaldwell. there dark grey and match the headlight rings and van mirrors i found on ebay. i also have miglia arches that i will spray the same color. minimal chrome only the grill with mesh behind will be chrome.

im trying to get hold of some 10 x 6 wellers to fit under them and sell my kn's. also i have rover coupe front and rear seats fitted. mrk 1 rear lights and a double centered exhaust.

also i want some square rally lucas spot lamps to be mounted in the grille, a blue desaturated coulor on the roof and black bonet stripes with blue edges. might photoshop all that.

mechanically i have to fit new front and rear shocks. exhaust, brake line, check and see why the car is dropping on near side. leak from windscreen needs new rubbers some minor welding, few other things.

yeah, i think it all looks pretty tasteful the non chromed look, ya dont see many minis about like that, most are chromed up to the eyeballs (which i personally find a bit tacky).
I have chrome bits on mine but thats only because i have tried to keep it as original as possible because its limited edition
When i get my next project mini i want to mix it up a bit like what ure doing, do something a bit different, ive always fancied using a minivan/pickup grille and putting it on a regular saloon mini i think that would look pretty mean with some group 5 arches n matt black finish paint (one can dream for now)

nice, are you guna put the square lights on the outside of the grille or cut the grille out and set them in a bit so they are flush with the grille?

flush with the grille i think. just need to fabricate some square housings and weld them in place. oh and actually buy some lucus square rally headlights.
