Are All 998 Cc Engines The Same?

i was just wondering if any one knew if all 998cc engines were the same. for example is a rover mini and a austin mini 998 engine the same?

They are enough the same that nearly all parts are interchangeable, you can include 850's, 997's and 1098's in your pick 'n mix selection too.

Metros, and Minis from 1980, will have A+ engines.

There have also been high and low compression versions of most variants above.

The "hottest" was the 998 Cooper, mostly because of its 12G 295 head. The best donor option to look out for would be a high compression A+ from a City E or HLE.
