After helping fit a John Cooper works big brake kit (easy job) I had a ride in a (BMW) MINI, yes I know what you are thinking!! ok it was only a short trip and I wasn't driving, and it was a supercharged checkmate , but I tell you what, it wasn't too bad at all..

That is all...............

a friend of mine at alpine has got a 320 bhp supercharged cooper s cabrio bini
went for a drive and didnt feel quick :S (it was quick but not exctly breathtaking)
the gearbox feels abit clunky and its not very roomy on the inside and massive on the outside
bit of a beemer

Had a trip to Woolacombe in one in the summer, and tell you what, I know everyone says they don't resemble the originals but I have found one way that they definately do...

There is absolutely no room in there! Especially for 4 people! Not too sure about the overly massive centre speedo either

It was probably a good ride, because it was supercharged.... ANything would be 'ok' ride if it was supercharged  Its got nothing to do with it being a BINI

I have to say that some of the MINI's look absolute rubbish but some look very good indeed must be something to do with colour combinations and size of wheels?

Must say the inside is a little "over styled" and perhaps even a little quirky

I don't know if I would actually buy one but I might see if I can arrange a test drive for a day, but it would have to be a John Cooper works..........

Ive driven numerous laps round rockingham in a Cooper S, a turbo charged one, was great fun! When i got back home i looked on pistonheads to see how much they were fetching

sounds familiar LOL

took the supercharged version round rockingham and wiped the floor with the lotus elise and a couple of m3's in typical mini giant beating style

My wife's got one - a Cooper, not a Cooper S though.

Its great fun to sling it around the bends (hope she doesn't read this!!) - great to see they've kept some of the spirit of the original.

Mine gets WAY more comments than hers though!!
