I'll be screwing mine to the bootboard kit i've got.

My old amp was pretty small so i put that in the rear bin:

Thats was pretty neat and all the wires i rooted through a hole i drilled in the bottom of the bin and one in the seat lip, so i could root all the wires well hidden.

Like what Minimadmike mentioned, i used to have mine mounted on my homemade boot board:

*both sides and the base of my boot board are missing in that picture.

*whacks out picture everyone has seen a hundred times:*

That was in my old car. Not sure where it's going to go in the new car - it's got a roll cage so might try and hide it behind the drivers seat somehow.

Is there not a little bit of space with your subs in there? You could screw the amp to the sub box?

A lot of people are forgetting the 1 unused place in a mini . . . the under side of the parcel shelf. Yes heat rises but unless you're driving you're speakers really hard it's not going to get detrimentally hot.

you could have a hinged panel to mount the amps on and then raise up out of the way under the parcel shelf...even add a couple of fans push/pull. i had problems with a couple of amps mounted upside down...they kept shutting down from overheat, so if possible try and mount flat or horizontal (this may be an issue with my amps...other amps may have better 360' cooling)

Damn Watso, that is tidy! Looks great. What kind of amp are you running and what's it driving if you don't mind me asking? Do you have some kind of forced cooling (fans?)

Cheers! There's a response I wasnt expecting! ;)

Its a Genesis Profile 5 running Focal Access Coax and Components. Have a pair of Genesis P69 Subs lined up to go under the rear seat sooner or later, but want to sort out the imaging in the front of the car first (have become somewhat annoyed with my door pods and the direction of the mid-bass). Have a looky through my profile for further info, its all there somewhere (although im useless with the controls on this site so can't say exactly where!).

There's no additional cooling as the amp chassis acts as a massive heat-sink anyway (all aluminium), but there's an additional fan in the middle under the Genesis badge that sparks up when the going gets tough (rarely!).

Watso :D

I have mine mounted on the rear bulkhead inside the cabin. They are covered by the rear seat upright.

Don't get hot so its ideal :gimme:
