hi i got my mini 2 days ago and love it. i have one problem though it seems to overheat badly and very quickly i went to chelmsford and back home again about a 20 mile round trip and got home and steam was coming out from the bonnet froma little valve just inder the rad cap. just wondering if this is normal or not?

Does the valve have a hose on it going down to the subframe like it should?
I'd check all your hoses and gaskets for leaks though just incase you're loosing water and overheating because of that.
the little bypass hose between the head and water pump is notorious for leaking.
Thermostat should be checked too.
