Roofless - have you measured the SPL on your system yet? It'd be interesting to know what 4 x 6" subs get compared to say a single 10" or 12".

Here's what I plan on using http://www.incarexpr...artno=GENP69018.

Outser uses a pair mounted in the rear shelf, but theyre infinite baffle so should work equally well under the rear seat.

Those claim to be 100Wrms but only 150W peak. That doesn't sound right. Are those the best drivers you can get for that price?

Depends what you mean by "best" (no such thing in my eyes), but as far as im aware that is about right. The efficiency figure of them is something stupid. According to Gordon at Genesis, the Sub channel on my Profile 5 will comfortably run 4 of them. That runs 250w @ 2 ohm, so they seem good enough for their size. Just depends on personal expectations.

The 6" JL's that Roofless uses are astounding for their size though, I previously used a pair of 6w0's (the older version) and was more than happy with them when running alongside a pair of unamped 6x9's

Watso

P.S if this makes no sense, apologies. Late night followed by the early shift isn't doing me any favours! :-

there are many options u have here...if money is no object then i'd buy THIS and have it where my spare wheel goes...OR even better a 10" sub in the side opposite ur petrol tank...Bert998 sells bootliner kits with this pre built ready to fit sub and fit into the car.

OR if u want same idea as Roofless with the under rear seat enclosure, get a under seat speaker board template from somewhere (i might have one i'll check n report back) and make a simple build with subs in there something like 8" subs or 6" subs like Roofless

I contacted a Fiberglass laminator (who has went awol in England somewhere) and he made me up THIS for my two 8" subs

If you still want to keep your boot check my latest creation in my project thread. The sub will be a Sony XS-L10S possibly a Sony XS L12S depending on the mounting depth. Very good space saving. I'm going to mount the Amp either in the drivers side rear bin or under the parcel shelf.

4 things I can suggest..

Sub in one of the rear bins? Might get an 8"/ even 10" one in there and you'll keep all your space. Along with a Vibe lite air amplifier.

One (or two) of those flat active subs which you can put underneath the front seats?

Kenwood do a 6x9 active sub set, infinite baffle, which could go under the seats or on the shelf - the KFC WDA69RC

Vibe SQ8 active sub box - it's an 8" active sub, in a normal but very very small box.

I, like Watso, run with Genesis P69s. They're awesome and don't take up any space in the boot.

Thats a good idea having it ported as you'll get more bass for your buck. Love the interior light by the way =]
