I recently brought an austin mini city 85 and wanted to add 13" deep dish wheels. It came with 12"x5 standard with standard tyres not low profile. My tyres have about 2" clearance on front and back, in front qnd behind the wheels atm.
Many people said id get away with the 13"x7 easy with low profiles but im unsure. I have read most forums but still not sure. I would like to keep the car as original as possible for resell value as is all original and in mint condition. Can anybody who knows please help me!!! Thanks

Okay thanks erm do you know which arches would be easiest and best for them? Either group 5 or sportpack?13's aren't the problem it's going over 5 inches wide that means you need to cut
Thanks

You do not need to cut at the back of the arch.
I have group 6s, but group 5s or sportspack will also do, depends on what you like the look of the best.

would it be a good idea to get a garage to do it?
this is the only thing i was majorly worried about.
the first is a photo of the rear arch and there is some sort of bracket that is rather close to the wheel.if need bee is it safe to possibly grind away abit of it to make a bit of space?
second photo is or the front wheel and arch just so u can see.
third photo is the whole car just to aks for an opinion on which arch would suit itnot sure about sport arches really but just not sure what to get ?
thanks mark

Thats exactly what i ment lol but you explained it alot betterYou dont need to weld anything back on if you do it properly, mark out with templates or by eye, the arch line on the wing, then with tin snips cut vertical slits every inch or so to the marked line where your going to trim, then fold the metal upwards on the line you just drawn then trim off access metal on the edge.
Hope that makes sense.
Paul.
