Looking at doing this, 2 speakers in boxes one at either end, have it paneled inside and carpet blue and centre clock.

Alternatively, if you can find speakers the right size, you could stick them in the holes normally intended for the heater vents, and the wiring could go down the usual tubes that would deliver the warm (or in many cases cold) air leaving less clutter.

Blimey! Sounds like my dad's mk2 cooper. 1968 shell, engine and running gear from a 1991 carb cooper.
Love the model mini teetering on the brink of it's own demise in the form of an ashtray slot!

Not the best picture in the world of mine, as I'd just started taking it to bits, but, here you go!
