Engine Dies When Stopping At A Junction...

He has been having trouble getting the mini to start in the morning, so has to jump start it quite often, and then the last couple of days when approaching a junction and the clutch is pressed the engine stalls.
So i changed the plugs, leads, HT cap, rotor arm, re-set the timing and tuned the carb up using a colour tune. I havent changed the points and condensers at the moment as they didnt have any at the motor factors, but i did re-gap the points and give them a quick clean up...
So i took the mini for a quick spin after that but as soon as you press the clutch down the engine still stalls...
Has anyone got any idea what the problem could be as he needs his mini back asap...

Has he got a water heated alloy inlet manifold? if so make sure its plumbed in.

it'l be the thrusts or the clutch release bearing...
Im prety sure its not that otherwise it would stall when the clutch is depressed when not driving...
It'll be the cold in the mornings, tell him to let his car tick over and warm up for 5 minutes before he drives it or keep the choke open slightly.

This problem is happening even after the car have been left idling for over 30 minutes... its not down to the mixture, timing or cold iv already covered all that...

the problem is the engine losing rpm's due to excess wear somewhere,
check the bearing then the thrusts

But if that was the case the engine would lose rpm's when the car is stationary and the clutch is depressed, so i cant see how that can be the case.
try engine earth.....
Thanks, but iv already done that its got 3 earth straps fitted in different locations off the engine now...
