A bit of recent background first. I had a small fire behind the dash which took out the voltage stabiliser, so no fuel guage or temp gauge. Also, I have had a coolant leak in the engine bay, but it is only evident when the car is moving, making it difficult to trace, but I think it is the heater valve. Not an urgent problem, I just had to top up the coolant a few times. And I recently had to repair the clutch master cylinder, there was clutch fluid leaking down the pedal.
Apart from that it's tip-top!
Anyway, got up to Bangor yesterday afternoon, a bit deaf, but alive, and proceeded to get incredibly wasted. Big mistake.

So by just after noon today I was in state that allowed me to drive, but with incredible discomfort. MY MINI IS FAAAAR TOO LOUD!!! Eventually I felt a bit better and decided to leave the A5 and go over the Berwyns, seeing as the worst of the weather was over, and I found some great roads! Try the A494 between Corwen and Bala, and the B4391 from Bala to Llanfyllin.
I got to the top of the Berwyns and took these.

What's that familiar shape in the distance?

Another one!

The only thing that made the journey home eventful was when I lost the radiator cap...
