Do not buy one from Halfords!
The charge does not last at all, just purchased a new one for a Saxo. It has already been taken back and failed when they tested it !
You could try the internet for one, (:

Pop down to your local friendly motor factors.. some are run by very knowledgeable people that have been in the trade for years. I swear by mine for bits for my cars, if he doesn't have it when you walk in, he'll have it in a few hours if his contacts stock it. >_<

Haha I know yeah! Well we got our money back, they are really expensive! True tho, they are really handy if you are passing and you need something at a bit of a random time of the day!
But the Halfords by me never has what I want in! Most of the people who work there don't know the answers to anything you ask them!

Erm, they probably wouldn't want too much! I went to my local tip the other day, and I noticed that there is a section there for old car battery's. Some of them look nackard but a few looked pretty new ish haha! You could probably get one quite cheap ish from a scrap yard, Probabaly about £5 ish!

Euro car parts is really good! Always pop down there now a days when I need something cheap ish!
That sounds like a brilliant price. & never heard of that make! But if you get it from there then i doubt that it would be rubbish! So sounds like a good buy

£40 sounds about right... can't comment on the make though... as I'm unfamiliar with them.

I went to halfords today and I dont know if these figures count for all makes but theirs were:

Standard Mini Battery code 038, cranking amps 265. £39.99
Pug 306 Diesel, forget the code, 360 cranking amps £59.99
BMW 318i, code 075, 520 cranking amps, £76.99

I bought the latter, and with halfords trade discount got 30% off so worked out at just over £50 >_<

There were Bosch silver seal ones of the 075 type for £96.99 but even with the discount couldn't warrant spending that much on a battery to put in a car which has no real added electrical goodies apart from a newer stereo and two speakers.
