I paid someone from this forum £50 for a pair of LED headlights on 9th Oct. It has been over 2 weeks now and have not heard a word. Have been trying to contact the person through TMF and his private email and still no response.
Spoke to my lawyer today and he suggested that they can take him to small claims court and make him pay back the money plus all the legal expenses.
I do not realy want to do that, but it seems I have no choice. I am not sure if I should put the memebers name here or not?
Any suggestions are welcome.

PM a mod or admin? They might have more contact details for the person?
How did you pay?

Two weeks is a bit hit and miss, Has the person been active on the forum since your last contact? If so as above notify mod/admin for a start

Is the advert still active? You can report it from there using the user options at the bottom of the page.
You could use the report feature in this topic to give us the details - all mods/admin can see reports. We'll do what we can to help.

You spoke to a lawyer after 2 weeks? I think the first thing you should do is calm down, the second is find a better lawyer if he didn't tell you to wait a bit longer first. Maybe one who doesn't have 'no win no fee' on his business cards. Have you ever noticed that most mail order adverts have 'please allow 28 days for delivery' written on them? That's standard, I think it's included in the distance selling regulations and as such no court will even consider finding in your favour after 2 weeks, especially with there being postal strikes in place at the moment. It doesn't matter if you are buying from a company or a private individual, you should still give them a month before you take any action.

I paid him through bank transfer.
It has been 3 weeks now since the payment. What my concern is the fact that I am not getting any reply at all for all the PMs and emails I am sending. The lawyer did mention the 1 month waiting which will be the end of next week, and as we all know time flies by.
