Not my day, just pulled dust cover off car and took the aerial with it :D

It's a '98 MPI Cooper with front roof mounted job. It has snapped at its base. I think it was the standard item, i.e. black plastic/fibre about 18" long.

Are these replaceable with original parts or what after market job would you suggest? Quite fancy a stubby one to stop this happening again.

Is the thread on the Aerial Metric or imperial do you know?.

Many thanks for any suggestions offered.

Kenny

Cheers Guys.................was tempted with the coat hanger idea but we've only got wooden ones and it looked stupid when I offered it up :D

Just been to local parts shop and picked up a 2 piece alloy bee sting aerial. seperated the top from the bottom, just using the top bit (which has the 5mm thread and jobs a goodun, nice little 3 inch stubby.

Many thanks once more.

Kenny
