has any one got photos of frame so i can roll over & work on a pick up shell. Shell needs lots of welding so thought it would be the best way to go. would be handy to see some pics. I was thinking of an A frame with a poll through the middle mounted to the bulkhead & rear wheel arch bins. just not sure how to fix it in different possisions, upsidedown on its side etc. joe

have alook at my project topic. its got my a frame jig o n it. bascically ita an a frame with a bit of tube through it welded to some box section which is bolted to the suspension mounts at the back and front. obviously you cant have the wings or front panel o n to do it this way. but it keeps strength in the car and i just support it with a couple of axle stands underneath when i move it to the right position

Your thinking along the right lines.
Both myself and Stevede have done this (along with loads others) and is pretty easy once you've got it all figured out.
Stevede's Link to project
Hope he doesn't mind posting it up, i'm sure i remember he was happy to give out measurements too

Thats along the line i was looking to do. although i was going to go above the scuttle panel & through front & rear screens so i didnt have to put a hole in the rear bulkhead. i did also think about making an extra bracket in the middle & bolt it to the top seatbealt mountings on the B posts for extra strengh. Looks like i need to replace compete floor, rust mites are holding hands & making big holes!!!!
Was a bit worried about A frame being to high when i turn it over, so might have to make it adjustable hight wise.
thanks for pics
