need some help!!!
i was watching pimp my ride a while back when on the floor of a van they laid down a whole record collection and poured what i assume was resin over it. does anybody know what type/grade of resin they used or would be suitable?
(im planning on making a table with some of my favorite minis laid in.shud look mint if it works!!)

There are a lot of resins about you want a clear finish to see your work most will come out a bit brown or pink mix the chemicals really well and not to much cat. in the mix or it will come out bad and cracked spent years with the stuff for work in art life keep of your hands and do not sniff the resin when working when its set its safe you can find a place in birmingham that sells it trade and cash deals its in aston by the merc. showroom and old sause factory weignright street spelt it wrong try to find there bus name for you

There is something called (I think) casting resin, which is a clear, 2 part resin similar if not identical to epoxy. It dries clear (or near as)and is deigned for fake water etc in dried flowers, lakes in modelling, that kind of thing. The main DRAWBACK of this, is to make an item as large as a tabletop would need quite a few tubs of resin. As this resin hardens it generates a LOT if heat, to the point that if more than 2 or 3 tubs are used at once it can catch fire!!!! If you can find a way of making the table in sections, then it is a doable project though.
