Was thinking about buying the kit to illumiate the switches on the dash (light switch, hazards etc) when the side lights are on. Has anybody got the kit? fitted it?? or know what exactly it does do. In that i mean does it light up the light switch itself as that is flat black front, i can see that the others would not be too difficult, but it's usually that one that i fumble around to find?? Was thinking of doing it so it illuminated the switches when the ignition was on.

From Minispares:
"illuminates your dash switches this upgrade kit will alow the brake test switch, rear screen heater switch, fog light switch and hazard warning light square type switches to be illuminated when the main lights are on. It will also sound a reminder chime when the door is opened when the lights are on and the ignition off, which helps avoid leaving your lights on and running the battery down."
Wood and Pickett sell the same kit and a Headlamp / sidelight switch that lights up:-

i installed the kit a few years ago and it took less than an hour.
just remember to do one switch at a time so as to not get the wires confused, although i did do it without a wiring diagram as it was missing from the kit.
also if you can, pick up the side/dipped light switch from huddesfield as the one i bought from them had a light window(unlike standard ones) which i wired to come on with the ignition. you'd be amazed how much of a differnece it makes knowing which swith your pressing
