Ive just bought one of these as pictured, and offered it up to the cylinder head and it looks like the metal breather pipe from the timing cover is going to be in the way. This breather is mounted to the exhaust studs in 2 locations. Was wondering if anyone has fitted one of these before, and how they have modified anything to get it to fit easily?

Thanks
Ryan

I fitted one to my SPI last week, and yes when i offered it up it did look like it would foul everything. I ended up fitting it with all the nuts on the steady nice and slack. Then after it was tightened down under the thermostat and at the exhaust mainifold, i adjusted the nuts on the steady untill it was just right.

Fiddly, but it didn't interfere with anything when fitted.

Edit: I removed the bulkhead bracket and fitted that first before i fitted the rest of the steady.

Hi elgarra,
Just tried fitting it, and theres no way - the breather pipe is totally in the way - my MPi must be different to your SPi in this respect.
If anyone else has fitted one to an MPi please let me know? - have i bought the wrong style?
Ryan.
