couldn't leave a poor mini stranded there. Thankfully it was a relativly easy fix and I was able to get it going again. But its amazing how many people just drive by.

I was parked behind in my family wagon so you couldn't see the mini, hazards were flashing and there is a baby on board sticker in the back window and people just drove past.

They had just replaced the rotor arm, dizzy cap and leads. It wasn't getting a spark so started looking at the components one by one and in the end found that the rotor arm had been hitting the dizzy cap and wearing it away. The all the plastic was going into the sprung loaded coil lead connection ad it stopped making contact, quick clean and they were on there way again.

Good on you Neil! You're part of what makes owning a mini so blumming awesome!! Even when they break down there's always a mini owner knight/knightess in shining armour happy to help

i always stop have even stopped on the motor way before (yes i know its illegal/dangerous) but i used to drive a recovery truck for a classic VW company that used to confuse mini owners when i stopped in that. i can't say that i have ever had any people stop for me though
