[b]Description of problem (please be as in depth as possible):Hi all, i am preparing to remove the engine from my car and i hav come unstuck, i want to leave the subframe attached but for the life of me i cannot remove the spring pin for the gear selector, i have tried as most publications suggest to use a punch and hammer it out, put it wont budge.
Any ideas on how to remove without damaging the rest or having to cut selector.

I just replaced my selector seals a couple of weeks ago with no problems. I put it in reverse, wedged a piece of wood on the left side between the differential and the selector coupling (if I remember well) and used a 5/16" punch from the right side. Easier than I expected.

MACHINE MART ANNOYING GEAR SELECTOR I HATE YOU LINK
I'll measure it tomorrow if you want but the minispares one above is what you need for that, unless you want a set of various punches with one being the one you need and others that help for other jobs then just get the machine mart ones?

I just used a little propane torch (plumbing type) to heat it up a little and it came out with ease.
