I've seen the ones on ebay and was thinking of getting a set but not too sure if they would fit my mini without any modifications, I'm already running on 10's and non spacered drums.

They're mass produced in china by a company that specialises in quad bike ang golf trolley wheels.
Trade price on them is 1/3 the price from potenza, granted you have to buy a large quantity to get a deal off the ground, my concern is that based upon their unit cost at trade, what is the quality likely to be. And what testing or mesures of fitness for use have been made? Given that their original intended use was quad bikes and golf carts for the american Market - hence the imperial dimensions

think I saw this - standard set of wheels with 'custom' laser etching - another cheap gimmick to make things more expensive than they really need to be :P

Yea i've seen the article in the mini magazines. I think there are a couple of magazines featuring his project car, its metallic blue and a 7 or 8 port engine?
The tyres to fit are 165/70/10 as i asked them when they were on ebay and this is what they recommended.

The reason for this is simple: there are no other tyres which have an appropriate speed AND load rating! So 165/70-R10 tyres (Falken or Yokohama) are simply the only choice left... For a showcar you could of course fit some super wide golf cart wheels. But not for driving...

Potenza wheels:
Some racers used them in the British Car Trophy without trouble whatsoever. So I'd guess they'r up to the job...

Maybe he paid extra for them or something I dont know but they are definately have some customising done to them, ill have to find the mag with the wheels in.
I dont ever recall his car having MB's on to be honest. His old car had Image rims on and I have only ever seen the new one with the Potenza's on.

Roofless...thanks very much, I totally forgot about these guys...I had a set of their lips on my other car...10x7.5 or 10X8 would be really cool, and to add their right in Canada and priced well!!!

Thanks again!!!
