. One concern is the ecu sometimes seems to pick the idle up to near 2000 with a bit of help from the accelerator to keep it from dieing on initial start up. It then drops down to a steady idle and then eventually dies. I’ve checked all the ignition cables, cleaned the distributer cap which leads me towards the coil and ecu. Is the coil dead? Or is it the ecu? Or am I just looking in the wrong area all together?

She will start, just, then splutters and dies .
