Had a small amount of time this afternoon to bolt on the alloys :) i just had to see what it looked like, and abolutely love how it's beginning to look.

Here you can see how all the wheels need aligning a bit more, camber needing sorting and how the suspension at the back is in desperate need of lowering - it's on its' highest setting at the moment.

Bought all the seals today, so will possibly be putting some of them on in the week. Definitely need to start building up my dashboard! :dontgetit:

Hi Jamie,

Its coming along really nicely now, its a credit to you and your dad. The engine has a few nice bits, it should go really well. You're best getting it setup at a rolling road for top performance and economy.

Are you going to prep and spray the floors yourself? - You could probably do it with a few rattle cans, be careful of overspray on that lovely new paint though!
One other question, what arches are you planning to use? Wood & Pickett's would set it off really nicely.

Best of luck with the project, keep up the hard work. :)

Tom

Wow. This car is fantastic. I bet you cant wait to drive it now. Savour the re-build though. Im sure you'll really enjoy it. The paint looks really crisp. Can't imagine how good it looks in real life. At what show do you plan to debut the car? Good job.

thanks very much Lund :) ah don't think we shall paint the floors if i'm honest. We made sure the bits that may been seen on the floor are black, to blend in with the carpet, the rest, will be covered in carpet and seats anyway ;) And yeah, I don't want to run the risk of overspray on the new paint :P Oh yeah, the wheel arches. They will be Avonbar arches, identical to Wood + Pickett, just that the Avonbars have the bit that wraps around under the rear valance :)
Love your mini mate! Best of luck with it :)

Cheers picknmixminis, yeah cannot wait to get behind the wheel :dontgetit: Haven't got a show in mind yet, but we hope to have it done for next march, just before my 16th bithday. Anyone know of a show around march 7th next year?

thanks

Tiny little update for you
assembled vast majority of the dashboard, but the glovebox lid still needs finishing, need to find a head unit, fill in a small hole with some red plastic for alarm, and obviously for the air vents :) but i'm pleased with how it's looking so far. Sorry pictures are poor quality, will get better pictures of it when its bolted in the car :(

Liking the car alot and the paint looks really good. I'm currently in the process of rebuilding Project Erm with my son and the colour scheme is a bone of contention at the moment with him, but apart from that the biggest thing for him is how much would a respray cost.
Now not wanting to sound too cheeky but how much did your respray cost please??

alright then chaps, just a smallish update
Finally had the time and weather for us to roll the mini out to get some work done on it today. We put the mk2 rear lights in, and wired them up, which i found very confusing with all the wires  But now they're wired up, and bolted in :)
