dont go with orange as they use the same masts as 3
but i have found that 3 although a crap signal is cheaper on pay as you go
for £10 you get 600 text 150mb of internet free skype free facebook and free msn messenger free 3 to 3 calls
30 mins of video calling (i think)
and your £10 credit at 20p per min to all other phones lasts me over a month >_<

Never had a problem with 02.

I'm on 3, but I’m only getting 300 texts for the £10 top up????? I still get the 150mb of internet, free Skype, free face book, free msn messenger (I’m on that a lot) and the free 3 to 3 calls which last for 90 days and if I chose to top up the credit, but haven't used up all the free stuff there just added on till the old ones expire.

the only thing I would like to know, hoping I’m not the only one with the particular model of phone is the 3g skypephone I have is very thirsty on the battery, some days it will barely go a full day on a full charge before dying and needing to be re-charged.

Im with o2 and have been for a while now. Cant knock them in any way >_<

Although im not on a simplicity contract now, I used to be on pay and go with them. Ive been on most networks at some point and always felt that o2 were the only ones that gave you something back (free texts etc) rather than trying to take money off you. >_<

well im on o2 pay as you go,and im still disputing a £1900 bill from a contract phone(with o2) after i had a n73 i think which decided to stay connected to the net and give me a £400 bill one month,i refused to pay it and had the phone diagnosed,o2 sent it back "yes fault with phone, now fixed" and nearly two years later they are still chasing me for £1900!! i could buy a mini for that :D

any advice on the above would be welcomed

I've never really had a problem with O2. I'm on a £20 tariff now, it's a sim-only one. Couldnt tell you which one like. I keep meaning to check out the latest phones in case there's one I fancy to upgrade to.

I upgraded recently...I got the N97 - not the mini the origial. Nice phone I like it a lot. But it is slow sometimes. The Facebook app is really good though and it has live streaming updates which is pretty cool.

The other option I was thinking of at the time was going backwards and getting something retro like an 8310.

Ah I’ll be doing that from now on then :dontgetit: on the battery life thing, i very really have the bluetooth and internet on, it's just the msn and texting that seams to drain the battery faster than you can get charge in to it.

I didn’t know if it was me or the phone was duff as I’ve only had it 2 months and is not always practical to have to keep the thing on charge everyday.
