Right, behind where I work in the carpark, A metro has been smashed up. It is a sky blue color, It has a rover badge on the front, But it looks WELL old compaired to my mates 1994 Rover metro.
It has a 1.1 badge on the back. Any ideas if this has an A series engine in it?
This isnt the actual car, but its this shape.

Unfortunately you can't tell from that photo, as they look pretty much the same from the side, but If I remeber rightly, the vents on the bonnet indicate a K series.
K's are 1.1 and 1.4, while A's are 1.0 and 1.3

The picture shown is of an A-series metro.
However metro's never had a 1.1 a-series in them.
The 1.1 is a K-series engine

That definatly looks like an old Metro. I used to have a C reg and that had the vent grill on the bonnet. I think on the K series the vent was plastic. The wheels are old Metro style as are the side reapeters. The 1.1 badge could have been added on by a wishfull thinker!, but as has already been said the old metros only had 1.0 and 1.3s in them. What is the reg, I think the K Series were bought in around 90/91 H/J?

the 1098 was never used in the metro... it was phased out with the clubman.
