Not really, The moddelers on that forum are very enthusiastic about minis, And at the end of the day it is a hobby. I think Bobo does them for £40 (1/16) so a very reasonable price, considering the price of the model to.
Just viewed his page and his works looks amazing but hes in Germany so p&p would put that to more around £60 - £80 unfortunatly.

Ah right hadnt thought about that, I collected a couple of bits from him at a show so didnt have to pay pp.
Thanks guys. I guess it's best to contact them direct through the Forum? I shall get onto that and see what I can do.

Airfix only does a Mk3, the only other cheap alternative is Tamiya which is a 1/24, but thats only Mk1 models (Austin, Morris). There are a few other companys that make mini model kits but most are in japan so postage is high. To get a good finish you really need an airbrush and lacquer to.
you can get airfix in mk1 mini, and mk3, i got a mk1 cooper in airfix which im bout 1/8th of the way through (gave up on it as had my real mini to build 1st lol) but u can get large airfix kits of later mini coopers, i saw one the other day in a model/rc car/boys toys shop, it was of an rsp cooper i think, n was pretty large scale, bigger than most model minis u can get, but it was £50! nice kit though... might put it down on my chritsmas prezzie list!
