I have Aldon Ignitor on my 1989 Flame and I am running this with a Lucas sports Coil DB105. I have been told that I should not be using a sports coil with this electronic ignition, so I would like to know what setup I should have please.

I have used a Lucas sports coil with an Aldon Ignitor for many years without any problems. I have this set up in use currently on my road mini. It is not recomended to use the Lucas sports coil with the Metro electronic set up.
Hope this helps

The reason I ask is becuase my car has developed a running problem - it's cut out 3 or 4 times at low revs, ie at traffic lights and the rev counter needle is jumpy. I assumed it was something to do with my ignition/coil setup. Someone suggested the coil is failing.
