Lumiweld, Has Anyone Used Them Before?

need to make myself a trolly so i can wheel my mini around once the front subbies of, but will be making it out of ally, i have drawn all the plans, then realised i dont have a tig welder, so have seen some lumiweld rods for sale, and am just wonderin how easy/hard they are to use, and how strong they are, thanks

that stuff is actually pretty good, not sure i'd trust it with the weight of a whole shell though. Also you may have trouble getting a frame hot enough to get it to work.

I used it to repair a cracked sump on an Astra GTE, worked a trreat for that.

It works like brazing almost sticking to the parent metal rather than penetrating it, I also would be concerned with the weight of a body shell, however it depends on a lot of factors......

Design it correctly with enough support and all should be ok........ but consult the manufacturers of the Lumiweld first >_<
