Clubman 1275GT, Manual
1980
Car has been in a frontal at some stage, and im currently reshelling it. The original top engine steady has a pretty big kink in it at the engine end, bends down around 30 degrees. I got another one from a friend, and it's also got a kink in it, but nowhere near as bad... I searched on here to find some pictures to compare to, but the search feature is pretty pants....
Are they meant to be bent at all? or basically a straight rod with the end offset at 90deg to each other?
Cheers.

No they are meant to be straight ( but the bush rings offset by 90 degrees )
There are also two variations, one for the later 1300 minis 21A1817 http://www.minispare...ty=pb&pid=33239
and 998 and early 1275's 21A1109 http://www.minispare...ty=pb&pid=33444
