Hi all been a whilw since i last logged on anyway have ordered some service parts for the mini and need some advise i have been sent 2 oil filters because they didn't know what one to use they are unipart parts numbers are GFE405 And GFE443 does anyone have any idea what one to use on my 98 Mpi sportspack? also i was sent a new belt as mines squelling and looks like it needs changing soon again Unipart number GMV50825 is this right as it looks a tad small and says fan belt on the packet ????

GFE405 = MPi
GFE443 = SPi

i guess thats the baby then weird calling it a fan belt when it dont have a fan that runs off a belt its an electric fan

best bet is to get the oil filter checked against your vin number

I have a 97 MPi and the oil filter I first bought the first time I changed it did not fit. The treads are completely different.

I now have the correct part number I order all the time, but check it before you wreck ur old one :)

Yeh, both filters look identical until you check the spin on thread and find the SPi is a slightly smaller diameter !!

How do I know, you guessed it, I bought the wrong one first time and didn't discover this until I tried to fit it, bugga !!!
