Hopefully there is a simple fix to this problem that I just can't find. I have searched and searched many sites for a piece to attach to the manifold and servo hose, to no avail. If anyone knows of a connector I can purchase up to accomplish this, please let me know.

This. is the kit I got from Minispares. Problem is, the hole in the intake manifold where the servo hose connects is much larger than the old manifold had, so my old connector won't thread into the manifold. Is there a larger connector I can get for this?

To be honest I thought that the hole for the servo banjo bolt were all the same size. Huh, you learn something everyday. Have you tried contacting Minispares to see what they suggest?

I assumed this as well, until I installed the new manifold. The old one had a tiny connector installed...something like this one. Which is a fuel pump union. It almost appears as if the old manifold was installed and then the servo connection was an afterthought, and they simply drilled a hole, installed the tiny connector and clamped the hose to it. I'm not sure if this has something to do with German mechanics working on it or simply a back yard home mechanic, but I'm hoping I can rectify it.

I have sent Simon a message on here to see if he knows of something they might have, since I purchased the kit from them.

If there is some sort of standard connector that is supposed to be there, I will buy it in a heartbeat. I just can't find what it should be or who might have it.

Here you can see the difference in the holes in each manifold. Ignore the clampless hoses on the new one...I am hardly finished with the engine bay. :(

Here you can see the difference in the plug that was in the Minispares manifold and the old brass connector that was in the old one.

I am assumin that your old servo intake pipe was a push fit onto the brass union? If so, you will need to get the end piece and banjo bolt from a late mini servo intake pipe and attach it to your existing intake hose. Click the link below to see what I mean

http://www.minispare...ty=pb&pid=41698

The bit you need is the brass coloured bit at the end of the pipe on the right hand side. You will also need a banjo bolt that goes through it to screw into the inlet manifold and two copper sealing washers. I cant find them seperate to the pipe on Minispares site but ask them anyway they might be able to get you one.

Just noticed that your Mini is a 1991. Is the servo the same as the one pictured below?

Nice, thanks. At least I now know what I need to connect it properly. :(

As far as Ii can tell, it is...aside from the resevoir you have. Mine is just the yellowed plastic one. Other than that, it appears to be the same.

You might be better off buying the entire pipe that is in the link then, just to make things a bit easier.

Yeah, I was thinking along that line as well. Mine is the same, besides the banjo, same white plastic push connection on the other end and all. Looks to have been cut and pushed over the smaller connector and clamped. Half the wiring was rigged up something awful too. Gotta love home made jobs. I still will need the banjo bolt too. Hopefully Simon will get back to me shortly and I can order it all up. :(
