been bussy the last few evening doing this

ive only done the inlet so far but exhausts are the next step, then bronze valve guides and 33mm rimflow valves and 26mm exhausts

i just hope i havent ruined a perfectly passable 12g295 head

it looks good mate its difficult to tell unless compared side by side to another fully ported 295 head but yes it does look alright it takes years and years of learning for profesional head machinists to perfect there skills thats why my heads done by brian slark.the size and shape of the ports etc.all depend on the application the head is being used for.but yes keep up the good work mate and remember size doesn't always matter!! also are using vizards bible??

thanks for that im just glad i havent ruined the head, yes i am using vizzards bible, both of them the old thin white 1 and the new yellow/blue 1, ive also had chance to study a profeshionaly ported 998 head so hopefully it'll work. the work ive done so far has taken me aproxiamatly 12-14 hours using a die grinder to take off the rought then trying to get a glass like finnish with sanding drums on my trust dremel.

be careful not to remove too much metal around the guide boss, as this can reduce the strength and lead to premature guide failure... and best of luck :kiss:

yes thanks i have removed alot from that area just tyred to blend the bit that suronds the guide into the port a bit more to help the flow.

yer looks like a good effort to me mate. i think its about time i try taking my hand to this :( i got my last one done by vmax
