Bouncing Driveshaft And Play In Pot-joints

first things we noticed were extreme bounce in the rotation of the driveshaft - knackered INNER CV perhaps ??
there doesnt seem to be any noticeable bounce on the pot joint - but see the end of the video, there is an awful lot of play in both pot joints at rest.
knackered diff bearings?
bent drive shaft??
inner CV eating itself ????
answers on a postcard please.

The binding of the wheel could be down to a sticky brake, but more likely further up the driveshaft...
You driveshafts look well out of balance which you will feel as a vibration, but maybe caused by inner pot failure, ie the cages has collapsed or there's just too much play in it...
What sort of diff do you have and is it a custom casing from the R1 Gearbox to the mini diff ?

we replaced the inner CV on the passenger side yesterday, and the one we pulled out looked ok. I'm gonna pull out the inner CV on the drivers side - see if anything is clearly apparent.
its a x-pin diff, in a bespoke housing from pro-mo running its own oil ( submerged ) and it is upside down compared to regular minis - when you install you swap drriveshafts from side to side.
I'll drain the Diff and remove the output covers ( star-fish shaped yes? ) and we can have a look at the innards.
I think I'll get it all pulled apart and shoot over to Rugby to get second and third opinions

pulled the drive shafts, inner CV opposite the one we swapped yesterday looks fine - move further up the line, remove outer covers from diff and find some nastiness.

the swarf we have found is very very thin slices of steel ( its magnetic ) some very very small, almost a paste, and some larger - maybe upto 3mm long
doesnt look good does it ??

Pictures suggest that the bearings have spun in the case, should check them for size before refitting...
