Could anyone please help, i have a 1995 Sidewalk SPI, we were having a look the other day and noticed the far right yellow replay (as your looking into the engine bay) has a purple wire, however it isn't connected.

does anyone know what this purple wire is for, the car seems to work fine?

please help

Hi Drinky,

Is it the relay on the bulkhead near the fuel cut off switch, to the left of the wiper motor? C19 on the attached picture? This is the engine cooling fan relay. Is the purple wire loose? This comes from the fuse box and could be live...

>perhaps a previous owner had difficulties with the fan and removed its power supply.

You should be careful in traffic in the summer then, as it seems someone has disabled your electric fan - watch that temperature gauge.
Ryan.
