ive bought myself a little sandblaster and ill be honest i know nothing about it so im looking for some grit for it and was wondering what the different grits are best suited to for example if found on fleabay aluminium oxide,glass bead and garnet whats the difference and what is each one beat suited to

Aluminium oxide is coarse, more suitable for steel (will turn alloy dull grey/black). Glass bead is finer and suitable for aluminium, never used garnet so can't say.
I got mine from machine mart, bought big tubs over two years ago and still haven't used it all, saying that though i use it in a shot blast cabinet.

if its just a lil box thing, then sand would be better... grit is used to remove alot more tougher things
