Looks like minis do have crumple zones!

Wouldn't fancy my chances over 30 mph too much though! :xxx:

What a fantastic site, loads of old Mini footage from the early RAC and Monte Carlo Rallies.

Takes me back a few years !!!

Just go to the main site and type in "Mini", "Cooper", etc. etc.

I've been on this site for the past hour now watching these videos, really brilliant stuff.
Just seen all the new Releases for 1962, including the new small car from the Riley Company - any guesses? :(

Now on You Tube:-

1961-65 British Pathe Film of the BMC Mini and 1100 crashing into a concrete block at 25, 30 and 38 miles per hour.

Ever wondered what would happen if you crashed your classic into a massive concrete block? Wonder no more – it's all in this BMC crash test video.
It covers the Mini, 1100 (3:30), Landcrab (6:25) and MGB (9:30).

The crumple zone in the mini is my face, or chest. Depends which the steering collum decides to dissapear into i suppose. Having seen pictures of other collisions, frontal and side impact in a mini seem pretty bad but when rolled they seem to do alot better then i expected.

As previously stated though, shows how important head rests are
