Please can anyone help, this is driving my craaaazzzyy!!!!

I reclined my passenger seat fully as I needed to put my Xmas tree on it and it wouldn't fit in the boot.

I took the tree out and tried to put the seat back to its normal position, it just won't click into any position other than fully reclined! My 1 year old is in the car seat behind and having the seat all the way back is squashing his legs!

How do I get it to click back into place please??

I know its extreme, but have you tried getting in the back and giving it a good kick, while someone else holds the lever/ turns the wheel?

Thanks all

Graeme - Yes it is a BMW Mini (02)

danie garry & burnard - I can get the seat to move backwards and forwards, and I can push the back of the seat all the way forward to enable me to get in and out to the backseat. Its just when I recline the seat it doesn't click at the normal sitting position, it only clicks into place when its fully reclined. Hope that makes sense?!

Unfortunately for you the technical knowledge on this forum is very heavily biased towards the original (or 'classic') Mini and not it's big BMW brother.

There are other forums dedicated to the BMW Mini such as www.mini2.com which may prove more helpful to you.

Thank you GraemeC, I didn't realise that. Will try the other site
