The Robin Hood Mini Club have organised a post Christmas & New Year run to Holmfirth home to The Last of the Summer Wine TV Series.
Like the Castleton Christmas Lights Run the only thing you need to take part is a mini – classic or BMW all welcome.
You do not need to be a member of our club or any club everyone is welcome to join the convoy.
Starting point will be Ollerton Tourist Information Car Park at 9am on Sunday 10th Jan 2010. The convoy will leisurely wind it’s way to Holmfirth, stopping at designated meeting points for mini’s to join the convoy.
Once at Holmfirth you will be able to take The Last of the Summer Wine Tour Bus Trip if you want - I will need you to tell me in advance as places are limited and I will be making a group booking. The cost is £6 per adult & £ 3 per child for the 45 minute Tour (although if we make a group up of 16 or more the will reduce each adult by £1) http://summerwinelei....officelive.com or you can wander through the village and shops at your own leisure http://www.summer-wine.com
We will have a reasonable amount of time in Holmfirth before regrouping to convoy back a different route.
More details will be posted soon.

We will keep our fingers crossed that you can make it & hopefully Stephen aswell .

You can get dressed up as Norah if you want but not Compo as we are a family club and frown on x dressing

Update : Good News & Bad News
First the bad news - It looks like Holmfirth is going to still be weather bound on Sunday so we will be unable to go there. So the full Last of the Summer Wine run is postponed but we will re arrange.
Secondly the Good News - We know most people will have kept this Sunday free to go on the run so therefore to prevent it being a lost day we have decided that as all of the main roads are clear we will do part of the run.
We intend to only go as far as Eyam and stop for Sunday Lunch at a pub. There is always the chance that weather will prevent us getting that far but on the day we can change our plans accordingly.
PLEASE SEE AMENDED TIMES
Sunday 10th Jan 2010
Meeting points:- Ollerton, Retford, Barlborough, Chesterfield, Eyam
Running Times are approximate but we will not depart meeting points early:
Arrive Depart Place
10am Ollerton Tourist Information Car Park.
10.20am 10.25am Retford Market Square - meeting point.
11am 11.15am Barlborough - Mc Donalds - meeting point and comfort / refreshment break.
11.40am 11.45am Chesterfield - B&Q - meeting point.
12.30am Eyam -
