Hi all,
Just wondering if any of you have used heat wrap tape on a LCB manifold, and if so, how much tape was required?
Thanks.

not a good idea it can increase temperature in the metal and can cause it to degrade very badly. The only possible benefit - if you are prepared to accept severe deterioration of the pipes themselves is reduced under-bonnet temperatures and If you must use wrap to reduce underbonnet heat - give the wrap some stand-off from the pipe to avoid high metal temperatures.
this info is from a good source mate!!
to answer the question though you can wrap something else like bandage around it to get the length and just copy it!!

If it is a new LCB and you want lower under bonnet temperatures, consider having it ceramic coated. This is generally considered better in terms of the life of the exhaust components and it still gives you reduced under bonnet temperatures.
That said, as an experiment I patched up my cars original stamped header and wrapped it. My car is a weekend car and not used regularly. My patches and the rest of the pipe are intact after 5 years... but that also only represents a few thousand miles. I found more than enough wrap material in the small kit I purchased.
