I take the faceplate with me.
If somebody wanted to get into the glovebox, they could very easily - if they've made it through the door I don't think a bit of wood would stop them!

You could always make a secret compartment... :withstupid:

Maybe a flip down lid mounted on you heel board?

I remember seeing a golve box that fitted under the dash (like in a normal car). I dunno if it was retro fitted or it was made for the mini but it looked a good fit. Plius if I remember correctly it was lockable, it'd also have the advantage of being out of sight.

make a speaker board under the rear seats but make that like a mini glove box, i no its still only wood but i dont think they would think to look under the rear seats for a secret compartment ?

I have an equinox with a cloth kinda carpetty dash (it basically just hides all the wiring) and i've pulled a bit lose which is where i stuff my CD players face bit. Not secure but if like someone said earlier if they dont see what they want they're not going to take the risks involved breaking into a car to take something that might not be there. My car actually got stolen where someone left the keys in it. I got it back with everything still where i had hid it haha

I think if someome smashes the window or busts the lock to get into the car to check if the stereo is in the glove box then i assume they can easily smash into that too!

I just pop mine into the door side pocket! under the seat sounds good to! although not always the easiest to get it back from under there!
