ive got little/almost no suspension on the rear left of my car...
the subframe and hi low assembly look fine...
i was thinking maybe the shock had blown? would this cause the suspension to sag the way it is?
what happens exactly when the shock is blown?
Cheers
Chris

Hi Chris,
Shock absorbers have nothing to do with ride-height at standstill. If your car is un-level / sagging, thiks is down to rubber cones or incorrect adjustment on the hi los?
If the shocker has had it, you will see oil leaking down the side of it. Also they will not dampen the bounce - ie press down on the car (in the boot if its a rear shock absorber) - a good shock will let the car rise and fall around 1.5 times. A knackered shock will let the car bounce many times - not absorbing the shock

found it... the previous owner had adjusted the hi low but not seated the steel cup behind the rubber cone properly...
i just need to take the hi low out and adjust it accordingly WITH the cone seated properly in the subframe... although i will still need a new subframe for the MOT...
Cheers guys...
