Hi All,
Ive unearthed what I've found to be a Austin Morris MK1 gearbox assembly. Its in beautiful condition. It is in its original wooden crate and still has the transport locking plates fitted to stop the shafts rotating. I think considering its age and condition it would be wasted on my future project. Is it something a restorer maybe interested in, or only fit for fishing weights?

Apart from needing a good clean ( would not want to trust anything which could have been lying boxed for 40+ years )

It has value...

I'd say in the order of £400 (once cleaned and checked), slightly more than a freshly built gearbox as it has the advantage of all the gears and synchro's being unused, however asis probably £200 - £300.

I also imagine that if you found the right person (which would obviously be the hard part) the 'sentimental/interest/rarity' value might attact a higher price?
