This one's not quite finished, I've converted the Cooper kit to a basic mini

Believe it or not for the bodywork i use the cheapest airbrush you can buy, a badger 250, more like a mini spraygun than and airbrush, but if you get it set up right and thin the paints correctly, which i use factory matched cellulose, you can get a pretty good finish, i then leave it to dry out for a couple of week before rubbing out and imperfections with 2000 grit flatting paper, and then polishing out with Poorboys SSR2 on a small polishing mop, followed by a coat of wax, for the interior and small parts i use a Devillbis Aerograph airbrush, which I've had for 25 years.

Oh really? The quality looks much better than anything ive acheived with my Airbrush, it was the Modelzone one, £29.99 on sale from £50, Which thinners and paints do you use then?

Cheers :) Craig

Standard cellulose mixed 50:50 with 100% pure cellulose thinners, i usually leave them to dry out for 2 weeks then polish them.

I run the airbrush of a decent compressor, in a room i've converted just for spraying

What are the wheels off on the Morris versions. The only wheels I've seen on the Tamiya kit are some weird looking ones not Minilites. Really want to build one but not with the kit wheels. Plus the Morris version is roughly half the price of the Austin which has steel wheels and hubcaps.
Thanks
Chris

Hello, top work mate, they look great :genius:
Is there any chance you do custom 'orders' for models of peoples minis, I wouldn't mind a scale version of mine for on the parcel shelf
Cheers
JK
